Volunteer with FZN Radio

Here at FZN, the entire station is ran by student volunteers. From management to presenters, all the roles are filled by students in education at Northumbria or at other universities in the North East. We are always on the look out for talented people top join us in one of the many roles we have. We provide full training so even if you have no experience but want to give something a go, then now is the time. You can also feature your FZN job role on your CV and we can write you a Linked In statement to go alongside your academic profile, so you can gain experience while having fun.

PRESENTERS

Ever wanted to host your own radio show? Interested in how things work behind the scenes? Have an idea for an amazing show? We want to make your idea happen. Simply fill in our application form with a few details of that you are planning, and we will be in touch. If your idea sounds good and we have space, then we will help you join our team as a presenter and after a few weeks training*, you will be able to do your own live show.

MARKETING

Love to promote? Have a thing for social media? Then why not join FZN Marketing and help us advertise the shows and podcasts we produce. Not only will you work with our social media accounts but also produce content for our website, write blog posts and help us spread the word about the amazing things we do at FZN. Full training provided!*

PRODUCTION

Is editing your thing? Enjoy coming up with ideas for shows, jingles and content but hate being infront of the mic? Join our production team and learn how to edit radio shows and podcasts for release, as well as bringing your own creativity to our presenters. We will give you training* and you will work with the team to think of our next big ideas!
